《公司條例》 (第622章) 概覽. 全面重寫香港法例第32章《公司條例》的工作於2006年年中展開，目的是使香港的公司法例現代化，並進一步提升香港作為主要國際商業和金融中心的地位。 經過多年來五輪公眾諮詢，以及多個論壇及研討會上的討論， 《公司條例草案》 經已定稿，並已於2011年1月26日提交立法會。 負責審議草案的法案委員會於2011年2月成立。 經過44次會議合共超過120個小時，審議超過200份文件或意見書 (可參閱 立法會 網頁)，法案委員會於2012年6月完成審議草案的工作。 《公司條例草案》於2012年7月12日獲立法會通過。 新《公司條例》 (第622章)（下稱「新條例」）包含921項條文及11個附表，為規管在香港註冊成立及營運的公司提供了一個現代化的法律框架。
