The Government today (March 19) announced the appointment of Mr Jerry Liu Wing-leung as the Head of Create Hong Kong (CreateHK) following the completion of an open recruitment exercise. Over 150 candidates applied for the post.
Create Hong Kong (CreateHK), set up by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region under the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau in June 2009, is dedicated to spearheading the development of creative industries in Hong Kong.
The CreateSmart Initiative (CSI) was established by the Government in June 2009 to promote and speed up the development of local creative industries so as to build Hong Kong into Asia's Creative Capital. The CSI aims at providing financial support to projects conducive to the development of creative industries in Hong Kong.
