That is it's possible to say just "Thanks for your reminding me." when both participants have common knowledge of the subject of the reminder. However, 'Thanks for your kind reminder.' is fine. So, it's up to you to decide which one to use.

Nov 7, 2006. #8. I don't want to be too nit-picking when that wasn't the question, but to me "This is a kind reminder" doesn't really sound right in (British) English; it should be something more like "This is a gentle reminder". I agree with Viera and would say. Je me permets de vous rappeler.
