An electronic General Demand Note (e-GDN) is an electronic copy of the existing hardcopy of General Demand Note (GDN). If you are interested in receiving e-GDNs, you can opt for the e-billing service and register for your e-GDN Account.
Please note that if the Government rent, including that accrued before change of ownership, is not paid, the Government is entitled to take back the property under the Government Rights (Re-entry and Vesting Remedies) Ordinance (Cap. 126). You will incur extra costs to get the property back.

2022年4月8日 · Demand notes for rates and/or Government rent for the quarter from April to June 2022 have been issued, and payment should be made by April 29, 2022. The demand notes have reflected the rates concession for this quarter, subject to a ceiling of $1,500 and $5,000 for each rateable domestic and non-domestic tenement respectively.
Important Notes. Autopay facility is only available for Government rent exceeding $100 per annum and due on 24 June and 25 December each year. For payments made by direct bank debit, no receipts will be issued by Lands Department.
All properties in Hong Kong must be valuated for a rateable value, which is the basis for calculating rates. Government rent is the payment made by the Government lessee (the 'owner') to the Government in return for the right to hold and occupy the land for the term (i.e. duration) specified in the lease document.
