    • 內容真實不浮誇。​同學必須誠實表現自己,絕不應誇大其辭、言過其實。若在某活動中只是參與者,但在自我介紹胡亂拼湊,裝作在活動中擔任要職,除了損害個人誠信外,在面試時或會露出破綻。
    • 行文簡潔具創意。自我介紹非個人履歷,同學不要只列出曾參與的若干活動,但不加以分享得著。行文應重質不重量,宜只選取有代表性的活動,例如自己印象最深刻或最多啟發的活動,加以闡述。
    • 結構嚴謹且流暢。同學宜留意自我介紹不同部分的內容比例,不要抒發太多個人感受,而忽略談及這些感受如何培養對有關學科的興趣,及未來發展抱負。在完成撰寫自我介紹的初稿後,必須多看幾遍,確保結構流暢及串寫文法無誤。
