The Mk2 app is not compatible with the Mk1 speaker. You're also paying for future proofing - the Mk2 fully supports Roon and MQA, if those would be your cup of tea.

I've just received my KEF LS50 Wireless II and when they work, they sound great... however, the pairing between speakers constantly drops out every few seconds or so - the secondary speaker crackles and cuts out. I've tried swapping the speakers around, and even if I place them physically next to each other, it still happens.
2021年1月25日 · And you don’t have to buy the nad. In the US the KEF II costs $2500 (w/o stands). The A500 system with hub costs $$4,400 (also w/I stands). I consider that to be a substantial price difference ( although I bought the A500s). Adding a $1,000 subwoofer (or two) to the KEF II could close the performance gap but it also narrows the cost difference.
2021年4月19日 · Apr 19, 2021. #2. Absolutely yes imo. The Wireless Meta's amplification is superb and you get DSP/room correction, digital xovers etc etc. A world class small system by most standards. There is no way your Marantz (and many other amplifiers, regardless of cost), will come close. That goes for both Wireless 1 and 2's.

I like the fact that it is a plug and play solution to my needs, ie, streaming HD music from Tidal or Amazon and providing 2-channel sound for movies. While surround sound would be nice, it is impractical in my open living apartment.

I doubt the KEF's will like being backed-up against the wall though, you might need to bung the ports. Rounded contours of the speaker could be a problem as there won't be much to grip to. B.
2022年2月20日 · The Phantoms can displace a huge amount of air per size. I would not expect any contest. Of course the LS50 wireless's midrange and treble are divine imho though some may find them too tame or distant. I normally listen at low volume so it was not a huge issue but the DSP 'bass sound' is ever present.
