2011年12月8日 · In LDraw one baseplate is 640 units wide. Thus originally (and I still do this today even though I know it's not correct) I visualized the LDraw system as having 64 units per inch, and a 1x1 brick being 5/16 inches wide and 3/8 inches tall (ignoring the gaps between bricks). 1/16 inches happens to be very close to 1.6mm.
2022年5月10日 · In practice, very few elements appear to be eligible trademark. The minifig is the most common one that I'm aware of. The 2010 case makes it clear that regular bricks are generally not eligible for trademark protections, even bricks like the 2x4 that are iconic and largely synonymous with the idea of a LEGO brick.

2017年4月13日 · Keep in mind LEGO has, until recently, be very protective of what it's been doing internally; as such, the community as a whole didn't have much info, so that a lot of current nowadays terminology isn't official, but rather derived from public habit.
2016年8月4日 · LEGO Digital Designer is a newer example with its brick palettes (sorry, I'm not a user.) Pick-a-Brick as of this writing uses 42 categories, some of which are very broad. For instance, "Brick, Special" is one category (currently 155 parts) that other schemes divide into various groups for round bricks, modified bricks, cylinders, hinges, cones, etc.
I don't think the molding pip was completely gone by 1980. I recently rediscovered my childhood Lego collection, which was mainly Classic Space from about 1980 (oldest set was 6970 Beta-1 Command Base) to about 1985 (the newest sets were 1984's 6951 Robot Command Center and a 6073 Black Falcon Knight's Castle and 1985's 6882 Walking Astro Grappler).
2012年1月6日 · This Flickr image from Brick Colorstream shows all the known colors of LEGO bricks, charted along a timeline of when they were available. According to that image, there was one new color in 2015, "Conductive Black".
2019年4月11日 · Bricklink states the 1x4 brick as 1.64 grams in weight. LEGO bricks tend to be odd weights because the design process primarily focusses on the physical aspect. A 1x8 and 2x4 brick both have exactly eight studs, yet the weight between them differs by almost a gram.
