2022年4月10日 · A true marimo should be smooth and velvety. Check the buoyancy. A real marimo floats when the water has been squeezed out, and sinks when it’s full of water. If it’s always floating, and never fills with water over time, it’s fake. If it can’t be gently squeezed and is hard in the center, it is fake. Check product descriptions / labels ...
Just a psa to anyone buying esperit brand Marimo. Seen a post the other day about these being sold in Homebase in the UK. Obviously had to buy one when I saw them. Just had a look today (I bought it yesterday) and there’s little bugs in the water. Kind of look like baby brine shrimp, but they move differently.
