Mui Wo (English: Mui Wo), formerly known as Mei Wo or Mei Wei (Cantonese: Wo and Wei are homophones), is located in the eastern part of Lantau Island in the New Territories of Hong Kong. Mui Wo has a beautiful environment and is a good place for vacationing in Hong Kong .
梅窩 （英語： Mui Wo ），古稱 梅窠 或者 梅蔚 （ 粵語 窠與窩同音）， 位於 香港 新界 離島區 大嶼山 東部。 梅窩環境優美，為香港郊遊度假的好去處。 早年 青嶼幹線 及 港鐵 東涌綫 未落成前，梅窩是除 愉景灣 外，提供渡輪服務連接市區的地方 [註 1] ，也是大嶼山居民往返 香港島 的唯一 通道 ；從前由 香港市區 到訪 昂坪 寶蓮寺 ，通常會先到達 港外線碼頭 ，乘搭 渡輪 到達梅窩，最後轉乘 巴士 到寺。 歷史 [ 編輯] 現置於 梅窩碼頭迴旋處休憩花園 的李府食邑稅山，據說原本設在 涌口 ，1955年被人發現. 相傳 南宋 末年，逃避 元朝 士兵的 宋帝昺 等人除到了 馬頭圍 一帶外，亦曾在梅窩一帶稱帝登基，並稍作逗留，亦是南宋廣東官吏 李昴英 的食邑封地。
