If you want to break into anything bigger than a high street firm, you're gonna have to do a lot of hard work at university to make up for it.
No, Oxford Brookes is a former polytechnic and has nothing to do with Oxbridge (the collective term for both Oxford University and Cambridge University). However, it is an excellent university for many courses, and is by far the best of the former polytechnics, and, I imagine, will continue to improve and increase its ranking.

2021年6月8日 · Do Not Go to Oxford Brookes. I recently saw a closed post about Oxford Brookes with someone voicing their concerns about the negative press the university receives. I just wanted to add my 2 cents to the matter and say it is entirely justified. I found Brookes be a disgusting unethical place that used me and many other students as a cash cow.

Lectures- You actually learn things in lectures and put them into practice straight away. The lecturers are actually nice, approachable people generally (instead of being stuck up on research) and always seem willing to help. Social life- To be expected at any uni but the social life is really good here.
I like the look of Oxford Brookes but the negatives are that I heard it is very costly living in Oxford, and I don't want to come out with a higher student loan than I need. Also, their programme doesn't include a placement year which I think would be much better.
