其實當年「PORTER YOSHIDA & CO」為進入台灣市場，在1999年時與尚立國際合作，將PORTER JAPAN引進到台灣販售，並授予該公司原料材質及設計使用的權利，也讓出現「MADE IN TAIWAN」的PORTER誕生。

2018年11月7日 · PORTER JAPAN 元祖的吉田包. 吉田包譜系盤根錯結，論最元袓的原點，則是PORTER JAPAN，它其實有一個更正式的名稱，名為PORTER YOSHIDA & CO（YOSHIDA & CO., LTD即吉田株式會社，是PORTER的母公司名字）。 YOSHIDA & CO由吉田吉蔵創立於1935年4月1日，憑藉優良的物料與細緻造工，旋即在日本國內引起高度迴響，包括王室成員美智子皇后等達官貴人，都是品牌的支持者。 不過留意當時品牌尚未有「Porter」這一名字（Porter的中文意思即是行李伕），「Porter」這一廣為人知的稱呼乃是到1962年才正式面世。
