In addition to construction sites and shipyards, the Factories and Industrial Undertakings (Safety Officers and Safety Supervisors) Regulations has been extended to cover container handling workplaces with effect from 2 January 2004.
The programme has been recognized by the Labour Department HKSAR as a Scheduled Qualification for registration as Safety Officer under the Factories and Industrial Undertakings (Safety Officers and Safety Supervisors) Regulations.
