Established following the enactment of the Tung Wah Hospital Incorporation Ordinance in 1870, this community-based hospital provides a wide range of services to inpatients, outpatients and rehabilitation day patients in Central and Western District.
Tung Wah Hospital is a charitable hospital in Hong Kong under the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals. Located above Possession Point at 12 Po Yan Street in Sheung Wan, it is the first hospital established in Colonial Hong Kong for the general public in the 1870s.
東華醫院（英語： Tung Wah Hospital，簡稱TWH）位於香港 香港島 中西區 上環 普仁街12號 [2]，是由醫院管理局管理的公立醫院之一，乃港島西聯網僅次於瑪麗醫院的第二大醫院，同時亦為一間社區醫院，主要服務中西區居民。
The first hospital of TWGHs – Tung Wah Hospital, has been providing CM inpatient and outpatient services since its establishment. In 1896, the first Chinese doctor (Dr. Chung Boon-chor) trained in western medicine was appointed “Chief” of the hospital.
