Welcome to King George V (KGV) School. As Principal of KGV, I am delighted to be able to write a few lines to introduce you to the school. KGV is a dynamic and exciting place, where over 1850 students and 250 staff call home.
Visiting and Open Events. We encourage all parents interested in learning more about our incredible schools and offerings to join a small group campus tour, which will be led by members of the school Admissions office. We will generally cater for a maximum of 10 parents per tour.
The school was no longer just a British school. On Speech Day 1948 it was announced that the school would be called King George V School. King George had been king in 1935 when the Foundation Stone of the school was laid. In 1979, after a long tiresome debate, the school joined the English Schools Foundation (ESF).
To purchase uniform, please follow this https://www.schooluniform.hk/. We believe that KGV uniform promotes a sense of pride, engenders a sense of community and belonging towards the school and identifies the students within the school. Starting 2021/2022, only students in Years 12 & 13 may wear the khaki uniform.
