We are proud to announce that Prof. Jiannong Cao, Otto Poon Charitable Foundation Professor in Data Science and Chair Professor of Distributed and Mobile Computing, has been elected as a Member of Academia Europaea (Academy of Europe) under the Informatics Section.
He has published over 450 papers and 7 books. His research interests are all aspects of power electronics, electric vehicles, electromagnetics, motor drives, renewable energy and energy systems. He is now the Director of Power Electronics Research Center and the professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering.
Additionally, it seeks to inspire future generations of linguists and language science researchers to continue advancing these fields. The symposium also intends to pay tribute to the remarkable contributions of Professor Yuen Ren Chao in language sciences.
