Its a game changer. Very accurate and useful. Google translate and maps are your best friends in Japan. Do not go on an earlier train than the time told on Google maps. Also, if you’re late maps will recalculate for you on the next best train time 😀. Route planning - great. Giving accurate transfer times - not great.

2022年8月17日 · Well, I just assumed that I was crap at using Google maps … but now I feel so much better. Besides GPS reception issues, the overhead electric lines create a magnetic field that mess with your compass - thus the arrow on your map is very often pointing the wrong way. Should be better with a phone with QZSS support.
2023年6月7日 · The biggest thing to remember is if you’re in the main areas of Tokyo most of the time worst case if you take the train the wrong way or the wrong one, you can just get off and another train will be coming within like 5-10 mins max.
