I just discovered HDTracks.com and never want to stream again. This morning I downloaded The Beatle's Revolver album from HDTracks encoded in 24bit/96khz PCM (WAV) file format. I also happened to look up the same release on Apple Music, which was listed as "Hi-Res Lossless" (Apple isn't very specific on exactly what that means).

2012年6月16日 · Here is a screenshot of one track I've bought from HDTracks that I also own the CD for - the bottom one is the CD, and the top is HDTracks. Even if it could be argued that the HDTracks version might even be more compressed than the CD version, I clearly prefer the HD version. There's more texture and detail, and it sounds less harsh.
