    The Hong Kong Society for the Aged (SAGE) was established in response to the social needs of its time and to suggestions from the Government as well as the social welfare sector. Elderly Services were Neglected in the 1970s

  4. The Home was named as SAGE Madam Ho Sin Hang Home for the Elderly. The construction work of the Home was practically completed in May 1994. The Home commenced admission of residents on 18th October 1994 with its Opening Ceremony officiated by the Chief Secretary, the Hon Mrs. Anson Chan, CBE, JP on 7th April 1995.

  5. SAGE CHAI WAN DISTRICT ELDERLY COMMUNITY CENTRE. History. SAGE Chai Wan Multi-service Centre for the Elderly first commenced service in June, 1979, being the first of multi-service centre established in Hong Kong with government subvention.

The Centre was upgraded to the SAGE Eastern District Elderly Community Centre in April 1, 2003 under the Exercise of Re-engineering Community Support Service for elderly initiated by the Social Welfare Department.
