2024年9月28日 · Hello Kim HL_432. Welcome to the Microsoft community. I understand that you are having problems logging into your Hotmail account via IMAP and SMTP on your iPhone. In fact, starting this year, Outlook/Hotmail will phase out basic authentication in favor of newer authentication. Your current situation is caused by this reason.
Replied on March 5, 2019. hotmail.com is nowadays just one of several aliases for outlook.live.com, so that's where you'd expect to end up. Just sign in with your Hotmail email address and password when you get there. Noel Burgess MVP (Ret'd)
