A group of likeminded cricket enthusiasts and residents of Kowloon formed the Kowloon Cricket Club in 1904. The first clubhouse foundation stone was laid in 1908 by the then President, Mr HN Mody. Cricket had been played in Hong Kong since 1851, but the first recorded match for KCC was 15th October 1904.
