Weakness: Distortion at higher volumes. My reason for purchasing the SS 8 was simple. I have a nice apartment, and I don't need a stereo system that will rattle my neighbors windows. I wanted a nice, compact mini-system. The SS 8 is perfect for someone who wants a little stereo that sounds good, and looks great.
