The International GCSE qualification will be graded and certificated on a nine-grade scale from 9 to 1 using the total subject mark where 9 is the highest grade. Individual papers are not graded. The first certification opportunity for the Pearson Edexcel International GCSE in Chinese will be in August 2019.

Schools who are interested in becoming Pearson Edexcel sub-centres and entering their students for the GCSE Chinese examination should complete and submit the Centre Recognition Application Form to the HKEAA before 1 September in the year preceding.
