Singapore International School (Hong Kong) is a unique school outside Singapore that is guided closely by the Singapore education philosophy. The school is the only Singaporean overseas school recognised and supported by Singapore’s MOE. Established in September 1991, SISHK offers a rigorous bilingual curriculum.
Applicants who are Singapore citizens or Singapore permanent residents relocating to Hong Kong may still apply after 30 September 2025, however, admissions assessments are subjected to the availability of school places.
Singapore International School (Hong Kong) [SISHK] was established in 1991 offering then only preparatory years and primary education. Today, however, backed by the strong support of the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE), SISHK now offers a Singapore-styled, through-train education programme from preparatory years to pre-university levels.
Most of our primary students stay with us to complete their secondary and IB Diploma Programme (IBDP). In Secondary 1 and Secondary 2 (S1 and S2), students follow the Singapore syllabus which has been adapted to the HKSAR context.

Our Preparatory Years (PY) Programme is highly sought-after in Hong Kong for its focus on holistic development and bilingualism. Our two-year programme offers a balanced education catering to our students’ moral, emotional, social, physical, intellectual and aesthetic development.
Starting from Academic Year 2020/21, new students joining the school will be required to either use the school bus service or public transport when travelling to or from school. Kwoon Chung Motors provides school bus service from different areas spanning from Hong Kong Island, Kowloon to the New Territories.
Our Staff – Singapore International School (Hong Kong) Ms Yoong, Pamela Principal. Prior to her posting to the Singapore International School (Hong Kong) in December 2022, Ms Pamela Yoong was the first Principal of Tampines Meridian Junior College after the merger of Tampines Junior College and Meridian Junior College in January 2019.
