Admission is by assessment during the Autumn Term for entry the following September. This includes entry into the Senior School by members of the Prep School. Most girls enter the Senior School at 11+, although some places may be available at later stages particularly for 13+ boarders and places for the Sixth Form.

Half terms commence on Fridays after normal school commitments. Boarders return to school by 5pm the day before the start of each term. The early May Bank Holiday weekend is the only compulsory exeat for all boarders. Prep School compulsory events: Carol Service and Open Day in July.

On 17 th December 1942, two bombs fell on Bramley, one on a train at the neighbouring station to the School, killing 7 passengers, including one St Catherine’s pupil. 1947 - 1970 Miss Celia Stoner guided the School through the post-war years of recovery and expansion.
St Catherine’s will prepare you for your A Levels, as well as for whatever lies ahead, be it university, a gap year, or another of the many opportunities possible for an intelligent and capable young woman.
