St. Peter's Church. Aberdeen has undergone tremendous change during the past hundred years, transforming from an old, traditional fishing village to a modern urban area. In fact, the Catholic diocese has commenced its missionary work in this village since 1894 before setting up the St. Peter’s Church.

Aberdeen’s hidden gem, this is the oldest catholic church in Aberdeen. Designed by James Massie, 1803-4; gallery added 1815 and façade finished 1817 by Harry Leith. Within the courtyard is the residence occupied since 1774, including, in the 18th century, the Vicars Apostolic of the Lowland district: Bishop James Grant and Bishop John Geddes.
