The simplest and most economic way is either getting to Tung Chung Town Center and then transferring to New Lantao Bus No.11 or taking Bus No.21 from Ngong Ping. Blue taxis are also an option. The iconic image of Tai O, and what gives it its nickname, the “Venice of Hong Kong”, is that the original village was built on stilts, with many of its structures reaching out over the water.
