But I haven't been able to find much feedback comparing these modem/routers, and the few comparisons I have found claim that the Vodafone Wi-Fi Hub 3.0 (Casa Systems Netcomm NL20) is pretty unreliable in comparison to the Vodafone Wi-Fi Hub 2.0. Any Real World advice or commentary would be appreciated.

Figured that was a bit of a lousy change, but fine. Now apparently from early August, they are dropping email support and it'll be links sent to you by SMS only.
Both Vodafone native 4G and Vodafone AU R are almost unusable, with download speeds of 0.03 Mbps and upload speeds of 0.01 Mbps. From (November 14th 2017) our prepaid starter packs and $2 SIM cards will have an expiry of 365 days from the date of purchase. I have not seen this before, however Vodafone will have a hard time enforcing this as none of the Voda Starter Packs that I hold make any mention of it.
