2021年3月30日 · this is just plain wrong, it's not to spy. if anything, they disabled the web feature because it makes too easy for browsers to abuse user privacy. i was going to use the web version to use dark mode but that is always a known security risk. the wechat software is not spying on you, don't use Chinese software if you're a blatant sinophobe. and you can use it on linux, just need a workaround ...
2023年2月3日 · Not really, because WeChat is the standard in China and they use for everything even large file transfers. We have some vendors in China that simply refuse to use anything else. Fortunately some are more reasonable and I would walk them into installing Teams.
2014年12月11日 · well you can sign up for account with your Facebook account or even QQ account (for sure the first, the latter probably can be connected later and used for signing in at least in CN version) and then it should be possible to sign in with your QQ/Facebook account without phone, but since I have connected neither of them to my Wechat account I can sign in only by using phone or recover password ...
2017年10月30日 · It doesn't work like WhatsApp, where one QR scan will enable permanent login on the PC Web browser. Is there any way to keep Wechat Web permanently logged in? Pls don't recommend the desktop app as it has BSOD my PC twice.

2018年5月27日 · It's called 微信读书 Wei Xin Du Shu. You can find many books there. They also come with Audio files, which you can slow down drastically plus it highlights what it's currently reading. So you can listen to the audio and follow the text at the same time. PLUS you can close the App and listen to the Audio, unlike for instance youtube.
