That we were interested in Mamardashvilli is a big clue, though. Surely, behind the scenes there is work going on to identify targets within what we are prepared to pay.

Go for Ramsdale though and we might kibosch the other deal although i suppose Liverpool can always sign him and loan him back to where he is. Ramsdale is the only one we could be in the driving seat for so need to pursue that one i'd argue.
