Tung Wah Hospital is a charitable hospital in Hong Kong under the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals. Located above Possession Point at 12 Po Yan Street in Sheung Wan, it is the first hospital established in Colonial Hong Kong for the general public in the 1870s.
The three hospitals are Tung Wah Hospital (1890), Kwong Wah Hospital (1911) and Tung Wah Eastern Hospital (1929), all were founded by local Chinese. They formed a group in 1931, the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals.

Tung Wah Group of Hospitals was founded in 1870 as Tung Wah Hospital. As the oldest charitable organisation in the territory, the Group has been witnessing the development of Hong Kong community.
In 1907, Tung Wah established the New Street Smallpox Ward, while in 1910 the Tung Wah Plague Hospital in Kennedy Town was converted to an anti-smallpox hospital, namely Tung Wah Smallpox Hospital. Later, in 1911, the government set up the Yau Ma Tei Smallpox Hospital and appointed Kwong Wah to manage it.
