2022年1月1日 · There are three routes, viz. Normal route, Grandfathering route and Special route for Application for Certification of BIM Managers. Grandfathering route and Special route are no longer available. The former lapsed on 31 December 2019 and the latter lapsed on 31 December 2020.

2019年12月31日 · There are four routes, viz. Normal route, Adept route, Grandfathering route and Special route for Application for Certification of BIM Managers. Adpet route is opened for application on 1 Jan 2022. Grandfathering route and Special route are no longer available.

Participants who achieve minimum 90% attendance and pass course assessments will be awarded “Certificate for Professional Building Information Modelling (BIM) Managers” by The Hong Kong Management Association.
The programme is on the list of CIC-accredited BIM Manager Courses. Successful completion of this programme meets one of the criteria for registration as a CIC-certified BIM Manager.
To train up the project managers and senior professionals to master necessary BIM knowledge, and to satisfy the requirement of completing a CIC-Accredited BIM Manager Course for applying for certification of BIM Manager.
To drive BIM development in Hong Kong, the Construction Industry Council (CIC) introduced the BIM Certification and Accreditation Schemes to standardize BIM training. Subsidized by the Construction Innovation and Technology Fund (CITF), the program targets BIM practitioners with relevant experience in BIM projects and relevant academic backgrounds.
To be eligible for certification as a CIC-Certified BIM Manager (CCBM), one of the requirements is the successful completion of BIM Manager course accredited by CIC. The purpose of this course is for the preparation of CCBM application and it is the route to be a CCBM.
