Given the Ford E-Series van has been around since the 1960’s, it can be a tad daunting for someone in the market to narrow down which years and models are the best to look for (or avoid).
It seems that a Ford Econoline will be my most affordable option and I had a few questions about it: For those that have one, how many miles were on it when you first bought it and what year is it? Are there any plans out there for cutting the rooftop off and installing a pop-up high top?
For this price range, I've been looking at mid-2000s Econolines and Expresses. Does anyone have personal experience with them, could you compare and contrast? I'm leaning to the Fords as their ubiquitous everywhere has many options in my price range.
