2016年10月13日 · To see auroras at your latitude, you need to follow several steps. Log into this website at least everyday and check not only the aurora forecast, but the ENLIL, the LASCOs and the Magnetometers. Make sure your OP has a clear, northbound view with not obstacle, and that it is sufficiently far from the city so the city lights wont hurt.

Kiruna is situated below the Van Allen belt, so the moment Bz drops a littlebit south you'll already see the northern lights there 😉 Don't blindly watch Kp, it's a forecast and forecasts can be incorrect! Plus the day itself, the Kp index is the Kp of the last three hour period (unless threshold has been reached).
