2014年9月23日 · If the underwriting was done before the valuation then some applications could earn zero money if it's turned down before the valuation. A chartered surveyor from a firm on the lender's panel (usually Countrywide if Nationwide mortgage) carries out a "mortgage report & valuation". This establishes the property is suitable security for the mortgage and the agreed price/estimated value is realistic in the current market.

Common sense tells me there are no reasons for the surveyor to stick his/her neck out for a higher valuation if their think the property is a worthy collateral ...
2021年2月15日 · Nationwide Mortgage 2021. So, this is the 4th time we are doing this 3 of the other deals fell through! Our previous application was satisfactory pending valuation but, property was valued 50k under offer last week. Luckily we found a property on Saturday and have to redo the full application again.
