Wortley is a small village located in the Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley, South Yorkshire, England. The village is steeped in history, with its origins dating back to the Domesday Book of 1086. Wortley is home to the historic Wortley Hall, a stately home that is now a hotel and conference centre.
