Does the weather ( specifically rain) get worse the further into August you get? We are looking at the third week in August or the fourth.

Im concerned about the iconic backdrops being crowded. We were considering going to Tokyo, Kyoto, Hokkaido and we are concerned that maybe it will be too busy.

The final night will be spent back in Tokyo since our flight home is from there. I can’t decide if we should do 2 nights in Kyoto at a ryokan (Nazuna tsubaki st.) and 3 in Osaka (with a day trip to Nara) (Swissotel in Osaka)
5 天前 · Settaya Trip Report. Apr 14, 2024, 1:03 AM. Save. Settaya has a number of sake and miso manufacturing facilities set amidst historic buildings. It's not a big area and I took about 2 hours to explore the small shops, buildings, and museum. From Niigata, take the Shinkansen to Nagaoka and transfer to the JR Joetsu Line 1 stop to Miyauchi.
