I understand there is Fujikko bus (Retro bus) that has Kawaguchiko and Saiko lines. There also the 3 Omnibus (red, green, blue). I'm only in Mt. Fuji area for 1 day.

If you'd rather not navigate the local trains and subways in Tokyo, a hop on hop off bus could be convenient, if the route covers the places you want to see. It will be cheaper and faster to take trains and subways, but you'd have to plan ahead and try to avoid commute hours.
