Looking at my itinerary/schedule for days in Kyoto and wondering if Kiymizu-dera would be best fit on: (mid May) - Tuesday morning around 10:00 after Fushimi Inari (would get a taxi to Kiymizu-dera) - Thursday afternoon after 15:00. I know it gets crowded there, but also heard the sunset view is stunning.

There is Odaiba Rainbow Bus which will gets you to the hotel in 20 minutes from Shinagawa Station. The bus stop is at Konanguchi. That means the Shinkansen side but it might be better to ask for the exact place.

There are more hotels/ryokans around the Furano station, which is also served by highway bus from Sapporo direct in 2 hours. In comparison, there are more pensions in Biei though widely spread out in the undulating plains.
