The temple here, at Chichén Itzá, is atop a stepped pyramid. A stone recumbent figure, Chac Mool, rests there. The pyramid is partially surrounded by a couple of hundred columns, circular and rectangular, bearing, in bas relief, carvings of humans, animals, and serpents.
