2024年5月2日 · 17 posts. Day trip to Mt Fuji lake Kawaguchi. May 2, 2024, 10:34 PM. Hi, as it's sunny at the moment I was looking at doing half day trip to Mt Fuji viewing. The express train and bus are all booked out but looks like there is a train going from Shinjuku at around 5am via the chuo line to Takao/Otsuki and then Fujikyoto to Kawaguchi around 8am.
2024年4月26日 · Apr 26, 2024, 9:54 AM. Save. From Tokyo to Kawaguchiko, there is only the Fuji Excursion train which goes directly. No change of trains en route. This leaves from Shinjuku. We used this train to visit Kawaguchiko. Comfortable journey. Time - 2 hours one way.

We would love to experience Japanese sea travel and we have a couple of nights free before Kyoto. We have looked at Toyo to Osakananko but it misses Himeji and Okayama (for Kurashiki) out.

2024年4月21日 · 1. Re: Nikki or enoshima island as daybtrip. Two very different places. Enoshima (either with or without Kamakura) is easy to get to from Tokyo (and much cheaper). Certainly has more than enough to fill a day. Nikko is further, but has a set of very impressive temples/shrines and scenery as well as some good history.
