You can find one in a taxi rank outside a train or bus station, but it’s often easiest to flag a taxi off the street. Just try to choose a place where the taxi can stop easily. No app is needed.

If you check-in online and get your boarding pass electronically, and you skip the airport kiosk and check-in counter and proceed directly to the gate, you WILL need to approach the gate ahead of boarding to present your passport, assuming it's an international flight. They need a minute or two to run it through the system.
