If you check-in online and get your boarding pass electronically, and you skip the airport kiosk and check-in counter and proceed directly to the gate, you WILL need to approach the gate ahead of boarding to present your passport, assuming it's an international flight. They need a minute or two to run it through the system.
7 years ago. Am I missing something, or is Air China's online check-in not functional? I fly in less than 24 hours from London Heathrow to Seoul Incheon, connecting at Beijing - both flights Air China, booked through Opodo. I have found three places that allegedly allow you to check-in on their site.
