2024年5月7日 · Day trip to Himeji from Osaka. May 7, 2024, 11:31 PM. Hi all, Saw that 4th is a public holiday, wondering how to plan my route. I'm hoping to visit Himeji castle, Kōko-en Garden & Engyo-ji temple. My initial route was to visit Engyo-ji temple first, since there's a combo ticket of ropeway & bus from the bus terminal.

Of course, you will have to be flexible as well as you never know whether a hotel near your stop is available when you get there. I have followed this strategy in the past driving in Europe.
