Dec 2022. Had the morning in Singapore before a cruise. Clarke Quay is named after Sir Andrew Clarke, Governor of the Straits Settlements. In the early years, many merchants traded along the bank of Singapore River. Thus, Clarke Quay naturally became a wharf for loading and unloading goods.
