Does the weather ( specifically rain) get worse the further into August you get? We are looking at the third week in August or the fourth.

It's not a big area and I took about 2 hours to explore the small shops, buildings, and museum. From Niigata, take the Shinkansen to Nagaoka and transfer to the JR Joetsu Line 1 stop to Miyauchi.

We want to visit Kamikochi and I am wondering if I need to make a bus reservation to get into the park. Or if I it is even possible to make a bus reservation.
