Most ATMs in Japan don't accept foreign cards, but ATMs operated by Seven Bank (7-11 stores) and JP Bank (post office) accept foreign cards. Expect to pay a tiny fee of about 200 yen per transaction with these ATMs. They will give you a fair exchange rate.
