I've been reading here for a few months and it helped a lot. Two adults and a nine year old in Japan for 12 days, with the first section in Tokyo, followed by Osaka and Kyoto.

I spent the week in Tokyo except for a one day trip to Kyoto. NB the parts in quotes are from advice I've seen online and my response to it. - Use the Visit Japan Website!

Background: My hotel (booked) is centrally located so Ginza /Tsukiji are walking distance. Please see the itinerary below. Am I missing anything worthwhile? I don't care about Harry Potter, Spa, Parks or Museums.

We have been there before and stayed in Shinjuku due to the accessability to train station, convenience stores, restaurants, etc. I would like to know if there might be another area that’s similar where we can stay.

We would like a private or small group tour for all three days. If we go with the private tour, we would like to have the same guide all three days. Anybody know anything like that?

Well, Mayday is late day in Hawaii as I said earlier and May day or May 1 in Tokyo was rain day and boy. Did it come down all day all night. As I mentioned earlier, I walked through Hibiya Park Had breakfast at the imperial hotel.
