2010年7月2日 · 作家たちは、自然と人工物や人間との関係性、間柄、自然と抽象化された自然あるいは非自然の間の緊張感、森羅万象に宿る超自然的なエネルギーを意識した空間構成などを表現してきました。 インタビューに答える片岡. --今展は現代作家3人の作品で構成されていますが、それはどうしてでしょうか？ 片岡：20人くらいの作家を集めて、自然観を歴史的に追う展覧会のやり方もありましたが、作家が感覚を通して知覚している自然観をそのまま観客の体験へと置き換えてもらいたかった。 そのために各作家が十分なスケール感を持ったインスタレーションができるように作家数を限定しました。 そこから、私たちの無意識の領域で継承されているような日本の自然観の本質が喚起されればと考えています。
