When you consider the time waiting for your connecting flight and the time to get to the city from the airport, flying is not quicker. Also.

I have worked up this itinerary but would love any input. I have travelled to Kyoto many times for business which is why it isn't included.

2024年4月23日 · I am trying to put together my itinerary and after some hep to fill a few days. Day 1 Fly into Osaka and sleep there. Day 2 Travel to Hiroshima via Himeji Castle sleep Hiroshima. Day 3 Visit Majima Island travel back to Kyoto. Day 4,5,6 kyoto incl day trip to Nara. Day 7Travel to Tokyo.
2024年5月11日 · Re: 2 questions on 13 day November itinerary. While rainfall can never be ruled out in Japan, the usual rainy season in Honshu is in June thru' early July but not in Nov. 1. makes sense. If you like history/culture maybe reduce 1 day from Tokyo. Note that Kyoto would be very crowded in most popular koyo (fall foliage) spots in late/end Nov.
