2024年5月4日 · There is no "hub" for all subway lines, and not for all JR lines in Tokyo either. The network (and it is a network) is simply too vast for that to be practical. Tokyo station does have a lot of lines (mostly JR) and the subway line mentioned and is the terminal station for the shinkansen heading both north and south, hence why it is one of the five busiest train stations in the world ...

Yurikamome is like a monorail so it is upstairs after you go out of the JR Station. The Yurikamome Line ride will be 15 minutes.

Take the ropeway and hike up to Mt Misen on a non-rainy day. Don't miss the Itsukushima Shrine and Daisho-in amongst some of the world heritage sites which are highly worthwhile.
